The European Lead Factory is excited to continue running high quality programmes and is looking forward to receiving more innovative screening proposals.

The European Lead Factory aims to run another 50 crowdsourced screening programmes in its new funding period of 5 years. Any European researcher from academia or small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a potential drug target and associated screening assay can now apply to access the European Lead Factory. The European Lead Factory will be open for phenotypic and high content screening proposals in the near future as well.

Proposals can be submitted anytime. Submitted screening proposals will undergo a dedicated review and selection process. The submission deadline for the first upcoming review and selection round is June 14, 2019.

The European Lead Factory is funded through IMI to assist you in the hunt for new compounds to progress your research. This should ultimately lead to the development of new medicines. Successful applicants gain access to an industry standard drug discovery platform. You will become an integral member of the highly specialised drug discovery team, enabled by access to cutting-edge facilities and the unique high quality compound collection (read more about what’s in it for you).

More information and all documentation required for submission of your proposals can be found here. For researchers that collaborated with the European Lead Factory before, it’s important to realize that the review criteria and collaboration conditions have changed compared to the previous funding period.
