Our Compound Collection shipped to participating screening centres all over Europe

The European Lead Factory (ELF) project has some impressive numbers to share! Over the past months, ELF Partner BioAscent has shipped 3,256 screening plates from the updated Compound Collection to the nine screening sites that are part of ELF.

The European Lead Factory supports World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day

This 30 January marks the inaugural World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Day, an initiative designed to draw attention to priority issues surrounding NTDs and the efforts being made to combat them. Falling on the anniversary of the landmark 2012 London Declaration on NTDs, which united partners in the drive for greater action on NTDs, the Day hopes to inspire further support for this cause.

The European Lead Factory, Europe’s largest collaborative drug discovery platform, continues its success story

2 May 2019, Utrecht (The Netherlands) The European Lead Factory (ELF) secured a total project budget of EUR 36.5 million under the second framework of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI). Over the next 5 years, 20 partners in 7 countries will push forward the transformation of potential drug targets to new medicines in the new project ESCulab (European Screening Centre: unique library for attractive biology) under the European Lead Factory brand.

Keapstone Therapeutics secures further €1,1 million investment from Parkinson’s UK

Keapstone Therapeutics is preparing to make the next steps in clinical candidate selection and first-in-human studies. This investment brings the total seed investment to € 2,4 million. Last year Parkinson’s UK together with Sheffield University launched the virtual biotech Keapstone Therapeutics to further develop compounds that boost the internal cellular defence mechanisms against oxidative stress to combat neurogenerative diseases. These compounds were discovered by IMI’s European Lead Factory.
